New MacBooks Pro

The new MacBooks Pro with M3 are a very nice upgrade over the models released earlier this year. With the reduction in price for the 14” version (and deletion of the Touch-bar version from the lineup-finally), I decided to compare the new model to my 13” M2 MacBook Air.

With identical storage, memory and chip configuration, the difference between the two is a mere $A400. What do I get for the extra money?

  • An extra inch of display

  • Retina XDR with Mini LED backlight

  • Better speaker system

  • HDMI port

  • SD card reader

  • 120Hz ProMotion

  • Better battery life, and of course,

  • The new M3 processor.

I tell you, if I had my way again, I’d get this new model over the Air for sure.
