Stocks App Easter Egg

Apparently the Stocks icon on iOS is indicative of a very important date in Apple’s history. Years ago, back in the before time, Michael Dell was quoted as saying about Apple, “What would I do? I’d shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders.”

Steve Jobs, in reaction, was apparently heard by an Apple employee at the time as saying, “F**k Michael Dell.”

The Stocks app icon now memorialises the day that Apple’s market capitalisation of $72.13bn surpassed Dell’s at $71.97bn. Talk about holding a grudge!
