Ecco Men’s MX Sneakers

The Ecco Men’s MX Sneakers are my new favourite shoes. For years I have persevered with Nike shoes after I found my perfect pair (the Free RN Flyknit 2017 Running Shoe), but have been disappointed with every iteration since. Poor comfort, cheap build, or most commonly, a sole that wears out in months and not years. I’d had enough and I was on the hunt for something better. Enter Ecco MX.

This is a brand my wife had been using for years, and I wish I’d seen the light sooner. Having received my first pair today, I cannot be happier. The sole is made from a very robust and long lasting rubber, reminding me of a motorcycle tyre. It has a Gortex upper and is well stitched.

The fit is perfect. An 8.5 US is an 8.5 US. Putting these shoes on for the first time feels like I’ve been wearing them for years already. I didn’t need to wear them in at all.

I’ll be giving Nike the flick for anything in the future and definitely be looking here first the next time I need a pair of shoes. They can be on the expensive side, but the build quality is definitely worth it in my opinion. And these came with a 20% discount, which never hurts.
